Students get visit from artist Ken Waldman

Ken Waldman presented his music and poetry in fun and surprising ways to the students at WCA North and South. He played harmonica, mandolin, fiddle, and a banjo and even had students help him play his fiddle. He talked about the importance of observing the details around you and to gather ideas for writing from what you observe. He had some students help him write a poem about things they wished for and showed us a poem he had written, called Grant County. Students also sang along with a couple of his silly songs.
